Spark Rectangle Placemat

Spark is based on traditional ikats, fabrics created by resist-dyeing yarns before they are woven. The Chilewich design team looked to this multifaceted process-in which bundles of yarn are wrapped together, dyed in sequence, and then aligned on the loom to create a desired pattern-to inspire the development of a double weave flecked with blurred-edge bursts of color that extend vertically or horizontally, intersecting in dynamic crosshatchings. The large scale of Spark's repeat makes each placemat unique.
